The year is almost over and time for summer and swimming and ice cream is here! For today's assignment, I would like you to draw a version of ice cream or a popsicle (or another favorite summer time treat) in the style of pop art.
Materials:
Paper
Pencil
Additional Materials:
Markers
Crayons
Watercolors
Colored Pencils
Sharpie
Pen
Think about the type of treat you would like to have your drawing be and lightly sketch it onto your paper. Keep it simple - Pop art has very basic bold lines so be sure not to add too many details.
Don't forget the background. You can keep with the style of pop art and have a more abstract background (dots, stripes, etc)
Once the sketch is complete, make your lines really stand out by going over them with sharpie - if you have one at home.
Add color with markers, crayons, watercolors, etc. Whatever you have at your house will work.
