K-4th Assignment #3

Welcome back to your 3rd online art assignment. This week we are going to continue to explore the outside with a kite drawing! Also, you are more than welcome to push your creativity with different materials. This is one way on how to draw a kite - do you have to do it my way? NO!

Even though there is currently a lot of snow outside, I am not letting that upset me. I know that the nice weather will be returning and we will be able to frolic in the grass soon enough. Until then, we can create art to inspire the weather to change!

To draw a kite...

1. Start with a lower case t on your paper.

2. Connect the points with diagonal lines.

3. Add a wavy line on the bottom for the tail of your kite.

4. You may add bows to the tail of your kite by drawing two ovals next to each other along your wavy line.

5. Now lets think about the background - where is your kite flying? Can you see clouds, the sun, the moon, a rainbow, etc? Be sure to add plenty of details to your sky.

6. Your kite will also need some details. You can add stripes, dots, zig zags or even turn your kite into an animal. There are so many possibilities!

7. Take a picture and send me your work, I love seeing all the great things you have been creating.
